Join the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture as the help celebrate some of the iconic woman photographers of African descent. This inaugural and commemorative book\u00a0MFON is named after Mmekutmfon “Mfon” Essien, an acclaimed Nigerian-born American photographer who died of breast cancer at age 34. Their will be conversations that will feature co-founders and award winning photographers\u00a0Laylah Amatullah Barrayn<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Adama Delphine Fawundu<\/strong> also joined by\u00a0<\/strong>photographers\u00a0Fabiola Jean-Louis<\/strong>,\u00a0Renee Cox<\/strong>, and\u00a0Nona Faustine<\/strong>. MFON\u2018s deputy editor,\u00a0Crystal Whaley<\/strong>\u00a0will moderate. Book signing will follow.
