Ahead of the premiere of the much-anticipated biographical musical film I Wanna Dance With Somebody, which explores the life of late American pop culture icon Whitney Houston, New Yorkers will get to delve into an exciting immersive multi-sensory experience on Sunday, December 11 from 10am through 6pm.
Aptly dubbed “I Wanna Dance with Somebody: The Whitney Houston Movie Experience,” the pop-up will take place at Studio 525 (525 West 24th Street) and is hosted by both Sony Pictures Entertainment and TriStar Pictures.
Expect to be transported through specially curated moments from Houston’s remarkable career as seen in the upcoming movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters on December 23. Naomie Ackie stars as Huston and the cast is rounded out by Stanley Tucci as Clive Davis, Ashton Sanders as Houston’s husband Bobby Brown and Tamara Tunie as her mother, Cissy Huston.
