Summer Solstice Celebration

Join The Summer Solstice with the premiere of The Gauntlet The High Line!
Immerse yourself in the sonic duel performed by a choir of hocketing singers. Walk through The Gauntlet and hear musical phrases bounce between pairs of singers lined up along the 30th street Bridge. Composed by Sxip Shirey and theater artist Karmenlara Ely, the text and music are inspired by a week spent on the High Line, listening to passersby, distilling the essence of the sounds of the High Line and New York City.
