The 19th Annual Orchid Show welcomed back its visitors after an entire two years of the show being on hiatus due to the pandemic that struck our nation.
Once again, Kaleidoscope featuring the famed floral designer, Jeff Leatham displayed thousands of bold and beautiful colors to this years annual showcase.
Jeff Leatham, is an award winning artistic director of the Four Seasons Hotel in Paris,creating floral sensations since 1995, knighted with the Orde des Arts et Lettres, the highest honor for atists in the French culture. Jeff’s clients include Oprah Winfrey, Tina Turner, Dolly Parton, Cher and the Kardashians. The Botanical Garden will be showcasing thousands of orchids through mirrored sculptures, overhead arches and rain forest deserts, all with a bust of color illustrated by this years designer.
Jeff explains how humbled he feels to have such an opportunity to create magic for The NYBG Orchid Show. He helped facilitate the tour through the wonderful garden of rare and iconic orchids. “Jeff states ” I wanted every gallery to be a different color experience for visitors as they move through them, like looking into a kaleidoscope”. He loved kaleidoscopes as a child, and this was his vision for NYBG exhibit.
Jeff created an underground illustration with bursts of breathtaking colors. As you move through the passage this colorful rainbow would follow you and transcend into one another. It’s an amazing adventure that everyone of all ages would enjoy!
