American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard

The same year Ruben Studdard won the second season ofAmerican Idol, he released a debut album that not only went platinum, but also received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for the single “Superstar.” Since then, the R&B and soul singer has released five more studio albums, starred as Fats Waller in the revival tour of the musical Ain’t Misbehavin’ and dropped over 100 pounds on NBC’s The Biggest Loser. Christened the “velvet teddy bear” by AI guest judge Gladys Knight, Studdard will remind fans why they first fell in love with that rich voice when he brings hits like “Flying Without Wings,” “Sorry 2004” and “Change Me” to B.B.
