Birth of The Cool: 100 Years of Miles Davis (Opening Reception, NYC)
A master of his craft and instrument, the late-great Miles Davis may have been laid to rest with his beloved custom “Moon and Stars” trumpet but the beat doesn’t end there as Morrison Hotel Gallery sets the stage for a career-spanning renaissance with Birth of The Cool: 100 Years of Miles Davis.
Opening in New York City and West Hollywood on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, the bi-coastal photographic retrospective featuring genre-defining works by Joe Alper, Glen Craig, David Gahr, Lynn Goldsmith, Patrick Harbron, Don Hunstein, Herman Leonard, Paul Natkin, Amalie R. Rothschild, Leigh Wiener, Barrie Wentzell and Charlyn Zlotnik.
Serving as a star-studded kick-off to the late legend’s year-long centennial birthday celebration, Birth of The Cool: 100 Years of Miles Davis will remain on view at both Morrison Hotel Gallery locations and at morrisonhotelgallery.com through Sunday,
