First Fridays: Afro Beat Edition
Join Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture for their popular monthly social gathering, where there’ll be live music, signature drinks, and opportunity to network with others in the community. This month we’re celebrating the rich sounds of Afro Beat music, birthed by Fela Ransome Kutiat! The event will be hosted by Humble Prince Olu.
With our extended hours, explore our new pop-up exhibition, Black Power 50. Meanwhile, DJ OB1 will spin Afro Beat tracks in our Langston Hughes Lobby, which will further enhance our theme of the evening. And don’t miss a special choreographed dance performance!
See you there!
