Orchid Evenings NYBG: The Orchid Show: Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle

It’s a block party for visitors 21 and over at the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) as The Orchid Show: Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle turns down the lights and turns up the bass for Orchid Nights during select evenings starting March 21, 2026. Surround yourself with colorful blooms as bouncing sets from DJ April Hunt and Mixtape fill the dance floor. Snack on curated eats and craft cocktails for purchase throughout the evening and experience all the energy of New York City nightlife with a blend of music and dance performances right in NYBG’s Enid A. April Hunt is a DJ and community-builder who activates music and her platform Mixtape as a tool for recognition and celebration. Over the years, she has been at the nexus of a widely connected and powerful community of creatives that celebrates BIPOC visionaries through dynamic live happenings. DJ April Hunt has performed and collaborated with Aperture, Starz, Lionsgate, The Whitney, MoMA, and The Shed among others. At The Orchid Show: Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle, orchids collide with concrete in a dazzling reimagining of the Big Apple, from stoops and slice shops to the subway itself. Step into a breathtaking fusion of nature and cityscape artistry in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, and experience the flair and style of New York transformed by thousands of flowers.
