THE STUDIO MUSEUM IN HARLEM:COMMUNITY DAY GRAND OPENING
On Saturday, November 15, the Studio Museum in Harlem reopens its doors and welcomes you back to 144 West 125th Street. Our new purpose-built 82,000-square-foot building sets the stage for a reimagined Studio Museum that expands the ways art and community come together in celebration of our founding mission: championing the vision and voices of Black artists.
Discover exciting and groundbreaking exhibitions, installations, and commissions in state-of-the-art galleries; join conversations, performances, and other communal gatherings on our monumental Stoop; learn and create in our dedicated Education Workshops; enjoy drinks and bites by family-owned restaurant Settepani; shop products by Black businesses and designers in our brand-new Studio Store; and take in an expansive view of Harlem and beyond on our roof terrace.
Be among the first to experience the new Studio Museum and our inaugural programs at our free, all-ages Community Day on Saturday, November 15, from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Explore the building, engage with the Museum’s exhibitions and installations, and participate in a full day of art, activities, entertainment, festivities, and more.
The Museum will be open Wednesday through Sunday, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday until 9:00 pm. Admission prices are offered as a suggestion, with free admission on Studio Sundays, a weekly day of programming for all ages.
