Jay-Z Announces Immersive Pop-Up Activations in Brooklyn and Manhattan

The two-day experience will commemorate the 30th anniversary of Jay-Z’s debut album, ‘Reasonable Doubt.’Jay-Z will bring a two-day pop-up activation to New York next week to celebrate his landmark debut album, Reasonable Doubt.

Roc Nation has announced the pair of interactive experiences that will pay homage to the 1996 album that launched the career of one of hip-hop’s most iconic artists. The pop-ups will open June 25 at locations in DUMBO Brooklyn and Manhattan and will be free to the public. Reasonable Doubt arrived on June 25, 1996, as Hov’s first full-length studio album on now-defunct hip-hop label Roc-A-Fella Records. In July, the 25-time Grammy winner will perform selections from the album live during the first night of his three-part residency at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

The concert will be followed by a 25th anniversary show dedicated to Jay-Z’s sixth album, The Blueprint, and a final engagement dubbed “Extra Innings.” Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) and Roc Nation have partnered to release the JAŸ–Z 30 Limited Edition Library Card, a commemorative card honoring the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt.

Beginning June 25th, the card will be available at all BPL locations systemwide on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. At Marcy Library, visitors can browse and borrow titles from JAŸ–Z’s curated Booklist on a dedicated display shelf featuring volumes donated by Roc Nation.

Additional experiences across the city will feature immersive pop-ups, exclusive merchandise, music, and food, with more details to be announced.

JAŸ-Z 30 is a year-long celebration marking thirty years since the release of JAŸ-Z’s classic debut album, Reasonable Doubt. The initiative honors JAŸ-Z’s body of work as a living cultural archive through concerts, immersive experiences, exclusive products, and special events throughout 2026 and beyond.

The Reasonable Doubt pop-ups are preceded by the rapper’s 2003 exhibit “The Book of HOV” at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Branch. The career-spanning exhibit explored archival pieces, awards, and items worn by Jay-Z during live performances, and New York residents were able to request library cards that featured artwork from his 13-album catalog.
