Museums Offer Free Admission For One Night
An evening of culture, art and history — all for free — is on its way to Lower Manhattan.
The Night at the Museums event, part of the River to River festival, will feature 15 museums and historic landmarks, slated to open to the public for free from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 21.
Participating museums include the Museum of Jewish Heritage at 36 Battery Place, the Skyscraper Museum at 39 Battery Place and the National Museum of the American Indian at 1 Bowling Green.
Some of the museums, like the National Sept. 11 Memorial Museum, will offer free tickets on a first-come-first-served basis starting at 4 p.m.
