The Fusion Factor in Independent Arab Music

Blending modern music with traditional Arabian poetry, Diya Azzony is transforming the musical landscape of the Arabian peninsula. On his tour of the United States, he will perform his unique musical style and share his thoughts on the growing industry of indie Arabic music and its influence on youth and society. Playing electric guitar and accompanied by the saxophone and traditional Middle Eastern sounds, Azzony will give us a taste of the fusion of Arab chords and harmonies, contemporary jazz, rock and centuries-old Andalusian poetry. Azzony is at the forefront of music production for film, online streaming and public performance in his home region of Hijaz, Saudi Arabia.
The show will be preceded by an open bar reception beginning at 7:30PM.
