Vivian Green
R&B songbird Vivian Green was raised on a steady diet of Motown classics and turned that into a successful career while still a teenager, writing a hit for Boyz II Men (“Dear God”) and touring as a backup singer for Jill Scott. As a solo artist, she’s gone on to earn rave reviews from critics for her rich vocal blend of jazz and soul, which helped her sell more than a million albums. Now, Green heats up the stage at B.B. King’s in New York with a concert filled with groove-intensive tracks from her 2017 album VGVI, including the singles “I Don’t Know” and “Promise.” But she’ll no doubt perform some of her big hits, too, like “Get Right Back to My Baby,” “Gotta Go Gotta Leave” and “Emotional Roller Coaster.”
