First Fridays: AfroBeat Edition

Enjoy Schomburg’s popular monthly social gathering, with live music, signature drinks, and an opportunity to network with others in the Schomburg community. This month the will be celebrating the rich sounds of Afro-Beat music, created by Fela Ransome Kuti!

The host for the night will be Dhalimu, with DJ Birane & DJ Don from the Muoka Mills Experience spinning Afro Beat tracks in our Langston Hughes Lobby. They will also have a musical performance from Teemanay aka Young Iconis, one of New York finest AfroBeats artists from Nigeria, who will perform songs from his debut soon-to-be released EP.
