Espolòn® Tequila’s Living Ofrenda for Día de los Muertos
Espolòn Tequila has teamed up with the creative force behind the MET Gala design and decor, Raúl Àvila, to bring New Yorkers the “Living Ofrenda” in celebration of the beloved Mexican holiday, Día de los Muertos and the launch of their newest expression, Flor de Oro – the first Reposado tequila of its kind infused with marigold extract.
An ofrenda is an altar honoring those we’ve lost, typically showcasing vibrant marigold flowers. According to tradition, marigolds act as a bridge between life and the afterlife to transport messages, and Espolòn Tequila is proud to showcase this tradition in NYC’s largest transportation hub.
Experience this immersive, beautiful art installation celebrating rich customs and modern Mexico at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal, open to the public from 8am to 8pm EST on October 29th and 30th. While you’re there, you can submit loved ones’ names to be displayed on the ofrenda and receive a marigold to take home in return. Samples of Espolòn Tequila Flor de Oro will be available on both days between 4-7pm. Must be 21+ to enter.
