Hester Street Fair Presents: Grub Street Food Festival

The seventh year running, Grub Street will take over the Hester Street Fair for our annual eating-and-drinking extravaganza. As of now, there are more than 50 vendors signed up — with more being added each day — and it truly is a celebration of the variety that makes the city’s eating scene so incredible. OddFellows, Babu Ji, Harry & Ida’s, Red Hook Lobster Pound, and Melt Bakery are all in; you can see the full list of participants below.

As it is every year, admission to the Grub Street Food Festival, presented by Citi, is free — you just pay for what you eat. It will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 1, and is located outdoors at the corner of Essex and Hester Streets in the Lower East Side. Heineken Light will offer a beer garden (showing football games, if that’s your thing). Live music: Check. Tons of food: Check. Just a generally great time had by all: You know it.
