FRYGUYS Reopens Fry Emporium
The East Village’s popular potato powered FryGuys has re-opened after a month-long renovation. This retooled FryGuys is offering a new expanded menu, including the debut of sandwiches, prepared by a new chef. A new, more stylishly sophisticated looking restaurant, which features a new plush velvet banquette that will increase seating from 14 to 20-plus. They will now be offering beer with a rotating roster of local brews on draft and in bottles or cans. These delicious new entrée size portions of fries loaded with intriguing toppings like guacamole, bacon and queso or twice fried chicken with maple syrup gravy for just $9.
The new sandwich offerings are: The Fry Guy, slow roasted pork, smokey BBQ sauce, coleslaw; Mac n Pork, the Fry Guy with the addition of mac n’ cheese; and Buffalo Chicken, fried chicken, Buffalo sauce, blue cheese, shredded lettuce. All the new offerings, including sides such as Mac n Cheese with 5 (!)-cheese sauce, were created by FryGuys’ new chef, Dennis Hatzinger, a veteran of such well-regarded casual establishments as New York City’s Point Break and Schaefer Oyster Bar.
