Create a mood board, hear from Emily and Amber, and make your own mini bouquet. Amber Mayfield Hewett is an entrepreneur, an event planner, and a culinary magazine publisher. Her career began at Bravo TV, where she fell in love with the storytelling that surrounds food and events. In 2017, Amber started To Be Hosted, a small, invite-only supper club to re-imagine traditional sit-down dining experiences for diverse diners. Since then, To Be Hosted has grown to a full-service event company producing events across the U.S. for communities and brands.
In 2020, Amber launched While Entertaining to highlight Black chefs and beverage professionals, while providing others with the resources and inspiration to host their own dinner parties and events at home. As an entertaining expert, Amber has been featured in The New York Times, Good Morning America, Forbes, Vogue, and more. Doors at 6 PM. Light bites and refreshments will be served at 6:30, with the stage portion of events starting at 7.
