Harlem is Dance – Special Artist Reception

Harlem is . . . Dance is a newly expanded, interdisciplinary exhibition illuminating the history and power of dance featuring the elegant work of documentary photographer Ruth Morgan. It honors three icons of Harlem dance – Ruth Williams, Marie Brooks and Dele Husbands — and how each built community through dance. The exhibition includes an eclectic mix of visual interpretations inspired by dance themes by 14 emerging and established artists who live and/or work in Harlem.
