NYFW Battle at Versailles
Fashion Week concludes at 837 with a special documentary screening of the film that depicts a turning point in the history of 20th century fashion. “The Battle at Versailles” explores the legendary fashion show, held in 1973 at the Palace of Versailles to help raise funds for the palace’s restoration. What began as a competition between the French fashion establishment and the upstart American scene turned into a night that changed the fashion world’s views on culture, design, and diversity forever.
Be here with body confidence expert, actress, and entertainment authority Raval “Vee” Davis as she presents a film that recaptures an unforgettable moment in fashion and cultural history. Come early for Main Stage access.
Our usually reserved seating area will be open seating for the first 60 guests, who will also get a complimentary glass of Chandon (for guests 21+). Popcorn and beverages will be served.
